Unless you are fighting to overthrow your country's government, you have to fight for your country. Don't they have a saying like "My country right or wrong" in your country.

It is an almost certainty that other countries will treat you worse than your country does.

I'm sure there's evidence somewhere of what actually took place in Syria last night but I don't think it's ever going to be available to the average citizen - and certainly not the type who hang around internet porno forums.
