that's largely back to the age old posters wanting to make money v those who upload for free. Personally if it's a host I don't like or is in my opinion too slow to consider I move on - I get that it might be annoying if it's something you really want or even more so if it's something rare but it's not like there's a shortage of porn on the net and eventually a lot of stuff is re-upped to somewhere more (free)user friendly anyway.

Quick question: Have any other premium members found that the search function on filefactory has stopped returning results? No - my premium membership hasn't expired - there are several days left - so I am puzzled.

Any term I enter - I am just sent back to the search page with no results - just the pink 'please enter a search term' button!

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was using Firefox. The moment I tried Chrome everything worked again!

me and a friend are slightly confused by someone who used to post a load of links on another forum suddenly appearing to stop so i have a question. could this be file factory suddenly limiting him if he's simply getting hundreds of downloads but no premium sign ups/rebills?

we wouldn't get an honest answer. he doesn't even admit he has one of those types of file factory accounts despite uploading 30 files a day minimum and having about 4000 files stored there.

I'll give you an honest answer, as someone that's used Filefactory for more
than 8 years now, and with 26,000 + files uploaded to my account.......

From what I've seen, some account holders do have their accounts taken
away for various reasons. If something that someone has uploaded to FF
is making it a pain in the ass for them........see ya. Porn doesn't seem to be
one of those things, unless it's from some of the more litigious porn companies
that tend to scour the net looking for any of their products to be downloaded.

There's many reasons people stop posting. Some get tired of it, some get pissed
off for other reasons, and some people just up and die. I highly doubt there's
any behind the scenes conspiracy going on though.

Compared to the other two filehosts I prefered back then, filefactory is all I needed. Ok, the payout seems to take a while but that's not the reason I upload to ff. I needed a host without storage-limitation and with a good speed for free users.
My previously prefered filehost share-online.biz first started to limit the filesize to 1 GB for free users what made a lot of my files unusable for free users (so I had to reupload them) and later the holdover time without download was decreased the more space you used, with premium account! For stuff that's not so often downloaded, very bad.

All that led me to filefactory and I hope they won't get busted so soon.

Filefactory displays illustrations in the background of the download page every now and then. Does anybody know who did the ones that are currently shown?

I thought they had a blog where they mention and showcase the artists, but maybe that was another filehoster.

Seems that Filefactory has lifted their DL-speeds for free users from 250kb/s
up to 5 - 6 MB/s.

This means that they play in the same "league" now like ZippyShare, MediaFire and 1Fichier.

It will hopefully stay like this
