I had forgotten that. I was so bad that I quit playing rather than hold the guys up. It got very frustrating always looking for my ball in the rough and taking drops at every water hazard.

There are folks in Wisconsin and Minnesota that play golf in the winter using red balls. That might not work for palo - it was -37C in his neighborhood when I checked the temperature today.

Sounds like Bourbon Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, but from the pictures it lacks the charm of the 18th and 19th century buildings. Probably smells the same: beer, piss, and puke in more or less equal measure. Kind of looks like downtown Hayward, California before urban renewal. If you like screwing downright ugly whores back in the day, Hayward was the place to be.

Kevin here. Australia may be my new winter home in future years. The new boiler that was installed in my building last October is drivng me to drink and insanity from lack of sleep, so I am thinking, maybe for next year and all other years I will go to Australia for the Chicago winter months of November through March. I just have to figure out which is the best city with the cheapest hotels or resorts to stay in for those 5 months. And yes while I am there I am going to track down you Estreeter. One of these days your doorbell will ring and there in the flesh will be the one and only trailmaster!
