Loosely based on Dagon and The Shadow over Innsmouth by H P Lovecraft, two couples on a boating holiday are hit by a sudden storm and run aground off a small Spanish town. Vicki is injured and unable to leave the ship so Paul and Barbara go to town to fetch help but find the natives are not as friendly as they might have hoped.

Once again - I am blown away by how good French Films really are..
this was billed as a Lesbian Film , but really its an intense friendship
and mixed emotions film ..........The lead actress Joséphine Japy ( Charlie )
was really excellent - and the emotional love affair actress was Lou de Laâge ( Sarah ) was just as good

well worth watching - I won't reveal the ending , but its not your usual

The Omega Man. I realise now Heston couldn't act, he just played the same 70's badass over and over. Still it is a better movie the Will Smith's remake.

S O B (1981)

The first time I watched this (many years back), I freely admit it was just to see Julie Andrews to go topless (cue obligatory gif)....

But watching this lament at the movie industry today, seeing so many stars no longer with us (William Holden, Larry Hagman, Robert Loggia, Richard Mulligan, Robert Vaughn, Shelley Winters, the director Blake Edwards), S.O.B. also feels like a window to another time.

Like it I did not.
Sure the actors are fine , pacing ok and the direction more than competent.
Was the lousy story I loathed.

Our lead over the course of the movie finally realises that being spied upon twenty four seven in this our brave new invasive world , is something to embrace rather than fight against.
