Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc - Page 232

Seems like some thumbnail previews for imagebam are broken but the urls behind are still working fine.
(or is it just me?)

Not just you. In two of my galleries all thumbnails are currently MIA, in both cases they are stored on thumbnails117.imagebam.com.

Oh I haven't checked that.
So, I guess they will be back when the server migration has completed.

Edit: it's thumbnails117.imagebam.com for me, too.

Here is an example of one of my own uploads. Follow "Links to complete sets are in post #3", search for rdx162 there, click on a link. The new tab/window appears to be empty. Just copy the first link (http://www.imagebam.com/image/...) below "BB-Code" (omit any other characters, especially "[url=" and "]"), and paste it in the address bar of your browser. By clicking the "Next" button you can navigate to the rest of my gallery.

Update: It seems that thumbnails112 is affected as well.

Now PiXhost is sometimes not showing the thumbs and won't load the thumbs either. I've noticed that this has happened to others as well.

I thought PiXhost was the answer after the IB mess

Thus far I've found Hotflick to be the worst host. They are very erratic and undependable. Periodically, out of curiosity, I attempt an upload with them. Their uploads have been at a snail's pace, often "freezing" upon several images during the upload -- and much of the time resulting in the three codes boxes being empty and not receiving the codes following the upload.
Often times there is even a delay in opening images/thumbs hosted by them.

They either have insufficient, inadequate or inferior equipment, the worst techs imaginable not to have yet resolved those issues, or all of the above!

Access to Pimpandhost blocked because of child pornography???

This text and some other information have appeared several times during last couple weeks. Not every time I've followed links to pimpandhost but more and more times. Does anyone know how pimpandhost is organized, is it in several servers and some of those are on block list. Or what? And, especially, is it a child pornography spreader?

Don't know more, but AFAIK p&h isn't available from some countries.

I swapped some sets to pixhost and I am seeing this too.

Hopefully the mods will wait awhile before deleting these, I may switch them back to Imagebam after waiting a few weeks to see how things shake out.

On my phone, PixHost does not open the thumbnail, instead throwing into an endless loop of dodgy ad sites. Unusable.
