Today's drink is from Belgium. Orval trappist ale. This is quite different from the usual trappist monk ales that I have tasted in the past. Pours a deep bronze color with a thick off-white head. Alcohol content 6.2%. Very good combination of sweet malts and hop bitterness. Very smooth going down. Tastes of raisin and spice. Very good overall.

Tonight's drop, that's Bushmills Black Bush in the John Power glass and a 'fortified' double decaff latte in the Captain Morgan tankard behind

In the freezer for later, £15.50 a litre in Asda.
