I vaguely recall they styled themselves "ChuckleHounds" in that guise.

Default Music and September 11, 2001

Well I'm back at you again. This time with an interesting, maybe creepy, set of facts when it comes to music and September 11, 2001.

So on top of obviously being the day of the unfortunate WTC attacks in the U.S., 9/11 was also a day in the U.S. that saw the releases of some musical albums that would go on to be defining moments, either in modern-day music as a whole or for the respective artist. Nickelback's debut album Silver Side Up, which truly MADE Nickelback (for however little time it lasted), was released, and gained them int'l breakthrough. P.O.D. released their fourth and, arguably, most memorable album to date, Satellite. Ben Folds released his solo album, Rockin' The Suburbs. Jay-Z released The Blueprint, an album many consider to literally be the blueprint (pun intended) for modern day hip-hop. Though standard and nothing groundbreaking, Bob Dylan released his 31st album Love And Theft. And, although rock band Mercury Rev's fifth album All Is Dream was released in August 2001 in the U.K., it released in the U.S. on 9/11/2001. And, ironically enough, the first song off the album, The Dark Is Rising, contained the chilling lyrics:
"I always dreamed of big crowds
Plumes of smoke and high clouds"

But in even odder coincidences, three situations between music and 9/11 really stand out. The first involves two groups, one metal, one hip-hop, who had to pull their album covers for its imagery, depicting the Twin Towers ablaze. The first situation is hip-hop group The Coup. Though the album cover for their album, ironically titled, Party Music, was created in June 2001, and promo CDs were already pushed and circulating, their expected release date, album cover and all, was in fact September 11, 2001. However, even before the 9/11 attacks their album cover received immediate backlash and forced them to stop production of the cover, change it, effectively pushing the release date to November 6, 2001.

The second involved metal/rock group Dream Theater. Their album, Live Scenes From New York, which was an album collection of their live performances from the Roseland Ballroom a year prior, actually did release on September 11, 2001, and inadvertently had a flame logo in the center of their album cover, which happened to have the Twin Towers in the scenery as well. The album was immediately recalled after the day's events and re-released with a new cover shortly thereafter.

And finally, indie-instrumental rock group, Explosions In The Sky, released their sophomore (and lengthily titled) album, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever on September 4, 2001. The attacks didn't happen until a week later, but this was the album cover:

And the liner notes of the album contained the same picture with the message, "This Plane Will Crash Tomorrow".

And just as an interesting final side note, Gerard Way and Matt Pelissier claim that 9/11 was the day they were inspired to start the group My Chemical Romance.

There are three Canadian federal categories of maple syrup: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the provincial governments have slightly different classification systems, both based on colour and taste. Category 1 (extra light, light, and medium grades) and Category 2, (an amber grade) have maple flavours that are “typical” for their colour grade. Category 3, which includes the dark grade and any other ungraded colours, also contains traces of caramel, plant bud or sap flavours. In Quebec, dark maple syrup can only be used for industrial purposes.

Another toy story:
OPERATION
The original 1964 game required the player to remove individual body parts such as the 'Adam's Apple', 'Wrenched Ankle' and 'Funny Bone,' along with treating more abstract ailments like 'Butterflies in Stomach'. In 2004, fans got the chance to vote for a new ailment, and 'Brain Freeze' was added to the game. Various versions have been released to tie in with cinema and television releases but the original Cavity Sam remains as poorly and popular as ever. Personally I often wondered why there was something called 'Bread Basket' to remove!

• If Barbie were an actual women, she would be 5’9” tall, have a 39” bust, an 18” waist, 33” hips and a size 3 shoe.
• There are two Barbie dolls sold every second in the world.
• The target market for Barbie doll sales is young girls ages 3-12 years of age.
• A girl usually has her first Barbie by age 3, and collects a total of seven dolls during her childhood.
• Barbie calls this a “full figure” and likes her weight at 110 lbs.
• At 5’9” tall and weighing 110 lbs, Barbie would have a BMI of 16.24 and fit the weight criteria for anorexia. She likely would not menstruate.
• If Barbie was a real woman, she’d have to walk on all fours due to her proportions.

Big bust - tiny feet. Would she be able to stand up?

A random fact I remember from childhood: Barbie's real name is Barbara Millicent Roberts.

(I had an odd childhood.)

Here in the States, "bread basket" is old slang for one's midsection.
