According to the book "The Making of The Return of the Jedi" early drafts of the script had Obi-Wan retaking human form as his time in the netherworld had run its course (perhaps because of his self-sacrifice?), so anything is possible.

On YouTube, there is the rumor going around that The Chosen One (originally Anakin Skywalker) can take the form of another flesh-and-blood individual. Rey, who is played by Daisy Ridley, may be a reincarnation of The Chosen One, according to the rumormongers; these people claim it can take the form of any individual, regardless of species, race, or gender. Just like Maz Kanata reminds me just a little of Yoda... ???

@Everyone: Also beware of comic books and role-playing games that rip off popular movies such as The Force Awakens, or The Hunger Games for that matter.

I just saw a YouTube video for a new RPG demo called Revere, and it begins with soldiers in armor slaughtering a village with a blonde female similar to Captain Phasma leading them. There is a white male named Troy who rebels against this bloodlust, similar to Finn with his blood-stained Stormtrooper helmet.

It reminds me of the time when my cousin's husband noted that Avatar lifted its storyline from Pocahontas.

There is nothing new under the sun?

According to the trailers from overseas due to the language used Jedi in The Last Jedi refers to plural Jedi. I think its quite obvious that Luke is not the last one but this seems to confirm it.

According to "Mike Zeroh" at YouTube, Supreme Leader Snoke's home planet has been leaked for Episode 8. It resembles a terraformed Mars, with snow and a breathable atmosphere? Shooting for this location has already been done in Dubrovnik, Croatia, with additional images of a town or city with futuristic-looking windows and security devices.

There are also some other channels I go to on YouTube, including "The Stupendous Wave" for theories and plot leaks about Episode 8. They are informative, but also tabloid-like...

Due to the nature of the fan base and the popularity of the movies there will always be more fiction than fact being thrown around. Rumours, theories and in some cases pure lies make their way onto the net. This is the problem these days with the internet. Anyone can write anything and no one knows for sure if its true or a blatant lie. In some ways its best to wait until concrete facts are released or info about an upcoming movie. However as fans its also hard to keep your head in the sand sometimes.
