Having read the Penthouse Couples book I don't think it would spoil the magic at all only enhance it. The book does explain the lack of images and according to the book there is not going to be a book containing pictures due to rights issues. I enjoyed it though but yes images would have been nice!

I read the book's preview pages for free online and then ordered it. The book explains why they are no images. The part I read was great and I'm looking forward to reading the whole book when I receive it.

I did get around to buying the "Complete Book of Classic Penthouse Love Pictorials" by Mike Floral.

As others have mentioned, there are no actual photos for a variety of reasons. From a trivia standpoint, it is fun for a longtime Key Magazine fan like me. However, I was hoping for a little bit more.

For example, personal stories from photographers or models. Things like, "This photoshoot was scheduled to be softcore, but these two couldn't keep their hands off of each other. He was inside of her in less than 5 minutes."

What we have here instead is the equivalent of a baseball statistics book for porn:

Photographer of the photoset
Names of the models
Issue the pictorial appeared in
If the models appeared in other Penthouse pictorials

Along with a table of contents and index, that's it. Nothing such as "we were shooting in a hotel room, and the housekeeper walked in and threatened to call the police".

It's a nice trivia guide, nothing more.

Interesting take on the book. I did find of interest the info in the book. Like the girl in the 2076 set was a hooker from Toronto! The David Schoen interview was quite interesting about the model Robin being really into it. It was a fun read.

No. The book only covers "love sets" from the 70s and 80s. No mention of Alexis Christian or the blonde.
