404 Not Found - nginx - Changed URL stucture

I noticed that the structure of the URL on VEF changed. Example for the Classic Pornstars forum:

old URL: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/f20...pornstars.html
new URL: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

This change causes that most Google search results now end up on a `404 Not Found - nginx` page. The new links also might give problems with internal links on VEF itself.

So you might want to have a look into getting the old URL structure back.

PS. example URL structure link to a thread via Google:

http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t2030-helga-sven.html
thread link on VEF for the Helga Sven thread is:
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showthread.php?t=2030
in the past i believe the "pretty html" URL's were forwarded to the "showthread.php?t=2030" type URL but that seems no longer working.

The vbSEO plugin is disabled for now until it can be adapted to work with this version of VB. The old plugin had security issues.

vbSEO plugin still seems active on PS.

Maybe, I'm not Admin there so I cannot tell. All I know is that is what we were told as far as VEF.

In the Modern Magazine Link Index the links that have "showthread" are fine. The ones which have .html get the 404 not found message.

We know.... there is other work going on behind the scenes that you are not aware of and this must take precedence.

Just be glad we can still post here for now.

We have a new plugin installed and enabled and so far it appears that the indexes and crosslinks are working again.
