Can't Balk at Palk
.
Tower of Evil Changing channels on the telly allowed me to chance upon this: That is some view, isn't it? It's from 1966's The Frozen Dead. (Why wasn't she required to wear a warning label? "Don't get too close, or I might Palk out an eye.") Turned out to be Anna Palk. I never heard of her, and was surprised to see she has a little thread going on here at Vintage Erotica Forum. I didn't want to stop with that one photo, and performed gathering of other materials, including these grabs from The Earth Dies Screaming (1964). It was only afterwards that I noticed Member "DTravel" offered views from this film back in 2015 (see Post #2), but since I expended some effort, let me put them up and get them out of the way. (DTravel commented, "Has been posted previously in the thread." Yet there was only one post before his, and Wendigo's shots were apparently from a TV show before they seem to have been taken down. Sometimes VEF can be very mysterious.) A few more views from The Frozen Dead: A couple of shots from Tower of Evil (1972); in the first, she gives the fellow who is fornicating with her (from the scene featured in Jony 07's Post #3, above) an evil look. In the second photo (with Jill Haworth) Anna is once again showing off those amazing chesties of hers. Toward the end of her career, Anna felt generous and revealed (all too briefly) practically everything. These are from a short-lived 1981 British TV show called Bognor, named after the bungling lead character who appears to have been engaged in solving crimes. The episode is entitled, "Unbecoming Habits: Part 4 - Lord Dismiss Us," and the other actress is Joanna McCallum. Unfortunately, her frontal treasures were kept from clear view. And yet holy Manna from Heaven. Will you look at that spectacular British bum. In high heels, yet. She's forty here, and so deliciously sexy. Anna had a very healthy screen acting career lasting for some two decades, beginning in 1962. Her glorious appearance from above was practically her swan song, save for another television show appearance two years later. She only had seven years left afterwards, given cancer, which claimed Anna at the tender age of forty-eight. That just wasn't right. (Hello, God? Are you listening? You made a big mistake there, pal.) EDIT: Later noticed Member "Moon Raker" offered this back in 2015, a scene from 1972's The Protectors' episode of "A Kind of Wild Justice": Our actress looks superb in that dress. As an additional note, back in 2011, Member "Anonjohn" commented: "...She was someone you could 'rely on' to get them out. I have many memories of watching the The Main Chance..." I see The Main Chance was a 1969-1975 British TV Series, and Anna had appeared in twenty-one episodes as a regular until 1972. The implication here is that there were other occasions she had chosen to reveal herself. Clips of her scenes have been uploaded at VEF, but the links are now dead. . Tower of Evil (1972)
Here are some almost, but not quite screen grabs from Tower of Evil (1971).
I get depressed at the thought of all those cutting room trims that litter the entirety of film history - you know, like when a scene changes camera angle and you know that the footage was edited. You can tell that Anna must have displayed more on set :-( Gallery: https://pixhost.to/gallery/9ybP0 If I may echo our verbose friend findcandor's request. If anyone has "The Main Chance" and "Bognor" clips. Please please post them here.

The Main Chance
Anna Palk
The Main Chance S2E7: The Best Legal System In The World Tx: 26 October 1970 on ITV Here are some caps taken from a recent showing on Talking Pictures TV. The scene somehow survived an 8pm showing intact. In case there are any body double thoughts with her face not properly seen - it is a continuous sequence from when she gets out of bed, kisses David Main, and walks across the room to to the bathroom with her face seen most of the rest of the time. https://pixhost.to/gallery/CX6xh |

Palk-in' Around Here Again
.
Anna "gazing out of the window of her Belgrave home, London, circa 1965." (Getty Images) I'm not back here because I wanted to explore more of Anna Palk, as lovely as she is. (The recent post I prepared two posts above had me Palked out.) Yet I'm dressing my post with more Palk pics, because as many of those reading are aware, this section is not about discussion, but about content. Very nice going there with your last post, Know-see! What you performed is (after all) what VEF is about (or at least this is the attraction for me), when possible; preferably, we want to see the ladies without their clothing. What Know-see offered was especially valuable, because I know from my own post, and by going through everything "Palk" at VEF (this is the search page for all things Anna) that there were nude views of the lady that have been offered over the many years, but all of these nude pictures and clips have come to be dead in the water. As an example, take a look at what Member "Subrosa73" offered in 2015; two apparent revelations of skin from The Main Chance, perhaps one being Know-see's scene, and the other was from Bognor, representing the highlight of my presentation. These are now all gone. One of the Main Chance episodes pointed to this 2011 post by Member "Steve9049," and the surviving shot suggests there was a scene on a sailboat where Anna was dressed in a very fetching black bikini. From The Main Chance's third season's 1972 episode of "One For The House," with Mark Burns. Why, unbeknownst to me, some of the photos I found depicted this very same scene! (Three of the four shots seen above were lifted from this "Shutterstock" page, featuring more views.) From the same Main Chance episode with Burns as Anna's lover; Anna was the former mistress of the show's main character, played by John Stride, who is being phoned "to ruin his perfect evening." This photo was described as a shot from a rehearsal, to publicize the show in the Sunday Mirror. The second photo has Anna with Roger Moore by London Bridge, also from 1972, as they appeared in The Persuaders' episode of "The Time and the Place." In the third shot, the actress walks her three pet dogs in Hyde Park, London, July 20th 1967. The reason why I have returned to this thread, not unlike Douglas MacArthur (with the exception his return celebrated victory), is because I noticed the way Member "MikeOhWell" described my post and/or me. It made me think. "Verbose" is, as the first Google definition resulting from a search puts it, "defined as a person who uses way too many words, or who talks a lot... Abounding in words, containing more words than necessary." The word has a negative connotation. I'm aware the way I've been tackling my VEF posts is hardly the norm in these parts, but I wanted to explain my motivation. I love looking at the dirty pictures as much as anyone else, but very often, after getting my shameful jollies, I stop and ask: Where is that picture from? (Often images are put up without explanation. Naturally, sometimes origins of images are unknown.) Billy Fury has been described as "Britain's answer to Elvis Presley," and Anna played a wealthy daughter infatuated by a popstar whom Billy helps her find in London's nightclubs, in 1962's film, Play It Cool. This is why I go through the trouble of finding and reporting background details, because I'm imagining there are others who are also motivated by curiosity. In addition, I also wish to pay respects to the women we are getting our jollies from; they are human beings, and my curiosity also extends to "Who are they?" This is why I often go through the trouble of finding and reporting what else the ladies are or have been about. (At least to a minor extent.) I know there are a few around here who appreciate the extra information, because some have been kind enough to let me know privately. Yet I also know there are others who have little patience for the extra revelations, and in fact, what MikeOhWell wrote indicated the possibility that some could be annoyed. (I certainly don't wish to get on anyone's nerves.) From my perspective, the words I've been offering are not superfluous. Brevity sometimes may be compromised because I also couch the words with humor, but we are all here to have fun, and I see attempts to amuse as a good thing. Yet surrounding the words is a good deal of effort. I often dig up the movies and TV shows to grab original views from. (For example, what prompted my Anna post was a chance glimpse of her exceptional cleavage in a movie that I had to go out of my way to try and find.) Since frame grabs can often be dark and murky, or the source material can be of poor resolution, I then usually treat the shots for clearer views. I try to be comprehensive, offering a variety of images and don't simply slap things together. If I find shots on the web, I have come to be aware many are from sites such as "Getty Images," "Alamy," "Shutterstock" and the like, and I have come to more often also make the effort to blast away the annoying watermarks. Apparently from 1966's The Frozen Dead. As an experiment, I decided to toss in just one photo, without words and subject line. (Naturally, I still went through the effort to make sure the photo was enticing and worthwhile, and most likely not offered before on VEF. The post was for the Whitney Cummings thread.) I'm sure many of us are not in it for the "thanks," but that's the one way we know if our efforts are being appreciated. (I've come to be aware of some very good-hearted members who routinely hit the thanks button as encouragement.) I suppose it was no surprise for me to discover that "single photo" post of Whitney resulted in more "thanks" than many of the posts I've spent hours on. At the time of this writing, I see that my multi-layered "Anna" post, which was topped off by a sort of "coup" (presenting shots of a naked Anna that did not exist in this forum, before Know-see put up his post) has received less "thanks" than the posts which have followed, neither of which probably took as much time and effort, nor provided as much. (I'm not knocking how valuable these other posts were; please don't get me wrong.) I simply wanted to think out loud here, and do some blabbin' (because that's what verbose people do). My "unconventional" manner of handling posts could, overall, be regarded negatively by members in general, providing food for thought as to the value of the efforts being expended. . |
