Others I remember were "I Wank Too" (Sam & Dave/ZZ Top cover); "Block and Ban All Night" (Kiss cover); Good Girls Don't (Do Anal)," all about the girls who don't answer yes and "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," a tribute to one of our veteran members.

For me, it is too close to call among three; Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison in 1970, and Miles Davis' electic band, with Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett on keyboards, Wayne Shorter on sax, Dave Holland on bass, Jack DeJohnette on drums, and Airto on percussion.

Best recent concert attended was Springsteen in Perth (Oz) in Feb
For 3 1/2 hours you certainly got your moneys worth. Also did an excellent tribute to Bon Scott Highway to Hell https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3p_lJgAeZI |

The Rolling Stones in the late '60's and early '70's were the best I've ever seen as far as rock bands go.. Cream on their first tour and Jimi Hendrix when he wasn't too loaded deserve mention. That being said, I haven't really seen many of the bands in the last 40 years.
Friends of mine were really impressed with the Peter Green/Danny Kirwan/Jeremy Spencer version of Fleetwood Mac. While not being rock, if you don't think that James Brown & the Famous Flames, Otis Redding, Little Richard, and the Isley Brothers could tear the house down, you just weren't there. Best live band I ever saw was Judas Priest. Saw them three times in 1984, 1986 and 1988. Those are far and away the three best concerts I have ever seen. Saw KISS seven times - four times in the seventies and three time on the reunion tour. Great shows all but not what I'd call a tremendous live band. Even in the 70s they were subsequently "less good" each time I saw them. The 1979 Dynasty tour was an embarrassing farce.
I saw Springsteen only once and unfortunately it was during that bleak period when he was delusional enough to think he was worth seeing without the E Street Band. He wasn't. We left during the intermission between sets. I regret that I never got to see him live with Clarence Clemons. "Born To Run" is my desert island disc although that one and "Darkness" are the only two in his catalog that I like. |

Yeah, the Tommy 20th Anniversary tour. What Pete later called, "the Who on Ice." I saw them at Rich Stadium and got punched in the face by the guy in front of me who was imitating Pete's windmill.
Still, it was a great show.
