When they've had enough return the club to where it was when they bought it

In this era of people flush with money buying clubs there will come a time when it wont make a difference because there arent enough trophies to go around.
Money cant produce a talented cohesive world beating team over night

Cost Man City at least a billion to buy the EPL title but with the same squad couldnt even make the Champions league latter stages

Speaks volumes about the dangers of relying too much on talented mercenaries who sell themselves to the highest paying clubs
I hear Sven's interested.

Agree with most of what you say Buttsie. To me its the wrong way of trying to get your team up the league. I prefer as it used to be a strong squad with more importantly a good reserve team and youngsters coming through the system.

But, in today's stupid world (and especially the football world), money is God - period.

Yeah, they might well be "here today, gone tomorrow" money people who fancy a little football toy back in little old England, but Forest were going nowhere quick. There's only one place to be and thats the Premiership (see Stoke/Wigan and the like). I can't speak for every Forest supporter, but I've got a strong feeling most of them are really happy at the moment and want the 'good times' back as fast as possible.

Anyway, we'll see how it goes? Maybe "tits-up" but I'm willing to give these guys a chance to improve our Club. After all, I think that is what all football supporters strive ... success!

I think Man City have realised that and may be about to forge a genuine team from their squad - however I suspect they will canter away with the league this coming season with Chelsea a poor second and MU a distant third. Arsenal might be lucky and get fourth but morale there seems lower than a snake's belly.

Good luck to the Forest supporters - and Watford ones as well.
Leeds are allegedly due for a take over and I'm borderline 'can't be bothered to care so much anyomre'.

While I'd be elated to see the back of the Beast who has managed to drive off 10000 supporters and make our squad weaker since our promotion two seasons ago and I fear for the forthcoming season, I wouldn't relish someone that knows fuck all about my club and cares less coming in for something between an investment opportunity to buy a brand (see the numpties that bought Cardiff) and a rich man's hobbyhorse.

Football in this country is dying and it's money that's the poison.

I've supported Spurs for OVER 50 years and I treasure the 60's more than today. George Best, Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles, Tony Currie to mention the 'flair'. All Gods whoever they played for. Even though the Champions League for one season was 'unbelievable' And i went to 'every' away game.
I will never get 'Spurs' out of my system, and my 24 year old daughter (gone since she was 4) has now got a full-time job there on the 'Foundation'.

BUT I get more pleasure now out of watching my 2 'other' teams now.....
Mansfield Town & Barking (Essex Senior League)

The money STINKS!!!!

Funny you should mention that; this coming season, I'm planning a trip down to Surrey (I've had the innoculation) to watch the Corinthian Casuals - probably one of their mighty clashes versus (it sems right to say 'versus' in this context) Dulwich Hamlet. It appeals mightily to the P.G. Wodehouse reader in me.

And a team playing in pink and chocolate halved shirts are alright in my book!
Mind you, Dulwich Hamlet play in blue and pink - there really can't be too many 'pink' colour clashes in football I'd have thought..!

No non-league for me these days as the three I used to watch, Leytonstone, Leyton & Walthamstow are no longer a going concern.
Football in the days of lots of home grown talent no longer appears to be a viable option as depending on your clubs financial clout, either means expensive toys or cheap flops.
What happens when the PL has twenty rich owners, only seven get into Europe and three will still be relegated or will they make it a closed shop.
Finally if your mega rich owner goes bust or walks away, where does that leave your team?

John Terry has been acquitted of racial abuse,IMHO this case should never have come to court,It should have been dealt by the FA or the Premier League.

Default Rangers in Divison Three???

Surely this will harm The already ailing Scottish Football League even more??
Saw Spurs win 5-0 at Hearts last season in Europa League and the gulf was different class and THEY finished 4th I think.
I know it was 0-0 at WHL but it was Spurs reserves.
Three sides of the grounds are almost empty EVEN when Rangers or Celtic are playing at ANY SPL ground. Montrose only looks like it holds a couple of thousand. So they can't get any more fans in EVEN when they play Rangers.
There is NO VIABLE SOLUTION to this matter. So I'm not sure if it has been thought through

They broke the rules and got punished. The SFL could have voted to reject them outright. Where's the problem ?
