Although Vanessa is Puerto Rican as I understand it, so many in the Caribbean, especially Cubans, have intermarried and interbred with blacks that they probably do qualify. Having spent a lot of time in the islands, there is a very fine, grey line between Latin and black. The races have merged as have the cultures in many respects. But then again, you wouldn't look at Jeannie Pepper and say she was white merely because she has Caucasian blood in her
