Its always interesting to do that once in a while but you do open yourself up to more malware without using the following:
Firefox
NoScript
Adblock Plus
Better Privacy
Ghostery
Also make sure you're behind a firewall and your AV is up to date. Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes should be installed. Get to know how all of these work to keep yourself reasonably safe.
Using Firefox and those four add-ons should keep you pretty safe for now. A month from now? Who knows.
