"This is the first picture that showed Garbo in colour. It wasn't plan ned at all. During a photo session for Camille in 1936, photographer Clarence Sinclair Bull suggested a colour photo shot to Garbo. Making such a photo was hard work and Greta had to sit still for a couple of minutes but the result was a sensation. The world could finally see Garbo's pale blue eyes."

"Snapshots of a topless Garbo taken by Mercedes de Acosta when the two had a tryst in Silverlake, Nevada, 1932.
Many of those pictures are still unreleased
In 2001, the auction house Christie's East in New York sold at auction a unique and extensive archive of mementos relating to Greta Garbo that Mercedes de Acosta saved during the course of their friendship/relationship. Including were 24 (!!!) black&white unpublished pictures of a topless Garbo."

"This German dancer was often mistakenly credited as Garbo. The naked woman was Martha Kreis from Dusseldorf in Germany and not GG.
The story appeared in the late 1980s when Swedish opera singer Richard Lindskog discovered and bought this picture for 200 Kronor at a Swedish flea market. He was sure it was Garbo on the beautyful photo and some "experts" even agreed to this andsaid "Hips and hands are Garbo's".
The photography was then sold to European magazines for very big amount of money. A German woman then saw the picture in a magazine and said trhat it was not Garbo but Martha Kreiss, a German dancer and actresss from Du"sseldorf in Germany. In the beginning of the 1940s, Martha had a contract in Stockholm's China theatre and this photo was used for promotional reasons."
