I can't see information about how long ago my files were
last accessed, so I don't know how long they have left before
automatic deletion.

To reset the dateline, does the complete file have to be
downloaded, or could I just download say 1Mb, and then
stop the download?

If so, I could reset the dateline of all my files quite easily
every few weeks, to save having to re-up them periodically.

If you go into file manager and single click a file, you will see an italic "i" in a circle on the top right options.

Click on the "i" and that will give you download stats on the file including last download. It is a bit funky and seems to hang for a while saying calculating stats. If it does that just wait a bit and refresh the page clicking resend info. The stats should show then.

I have no idea if downloading your own files will reset the date. All I can say is try it and see.
