I seem to recall that in the early days of Hulu it was widely used because it would allow to folks to download videos from it.

I guess there is something like this for Windows,
I use a Mac and have an app called Screen Record Pro-HD Screen Recorder.

With that you can record whatever is happening on your entire screen or just a selected area you choose, works perfect.
