You've brought it back for me too, but I don't really mind. It's a perfect thing of it's kind: a two-minute song of simple but vivid storytelling lyrics, borderline crude instrumentals... and at least three memorable hook lines I can enjoy for themselves!
Too much if you dwell on it, of course, or it's jammed down your earhole by a radio station programmer, but at least the reasons it stays with me are the right ones.
PLUS!!! It was perfect theme music for one of my all-time favorite off-the-wall TV shows: Crime Story!!!!
