As a postscript to SemperF's splendid retro-lesbian post, may offer some pictures of this couple from the 50's, all in full black-and-white; I like these because they just like snapshots from an old family album. And isn't the women's clothing exotic, as much of its period as that of the couples in SemperF's (mostly) 19th century photographs.
