This is what it looks like on 73rd street, the side street next to my building. When there is a heavy snowfall the plows don't plow the side streets for weeks, until all the highways, toll roads and major roads have been plowed first. My building has it's own parking lot and we have our own plowing service which came in two nights ago and plowed out the lot, but many of the vacant spaces were used by the snow plow to put all that extra snow in, so now visitors have nowhere to park. They have to find street parking, and you might get your car in, but then you have to dig yourself out like this guy in the photo is doing!
