The Europeans (1979). Yet another adaptation of Anglo-American author Henry James by the Merchant Ivory company and scriptwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala.
Whilst the material is not convincing and the film is relatively faithful , Lee excels once again as the strange European countess Eugenie Munster.
