Not directly relevant K, but I had a BT Voyager which performed well for years, but suddenly I was getting pages timing out or not loading fully. Pages with large format photos (1000 pxl and above) just gave up no matter what browser I tried - and I was nominally on a 16Mb connection. I tried a firmware update to no avail, and concluded that some networking software update in Windows was not co-operating with the BTV.

In my case I was able to get a spare (and free) D-Link router and not only did it fix the slow connection problem, but gave me the full benefit of the 24Mb my line had been upgraded to without me knowing.
