Regarding apparently empty galleries: maybe it's "only"
the tumbnails failing to load. Hopefully they will come back, but I don't hold my breath.
As for incomplete galleries: in my (bitter) experience, the percentage of Imagebam galleries where all the thumbnails are there but some full pictures are missing increases with age and approaches 100%.
