Tonight I opened a bottle of
Christmas Mead from the Lyme Bay Winery
A rich honey mead blended with festive spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, lemon and orange zest).
We bought this when visiting Scarborough Castle while on holiday last year but it got lost in the back of the cupboard. Only 10% vol so isn't very strong but is very very sweet.
My missus and our three boys don't like it so I'll have to drink it all myself. I'm sure I'll manage to force myself.
Never had it before and probably won't buy it again because it really is too sweet but OK for a change.
