Try clearing the browser cache ans see if that helps. If not it sounds like a possible browser hijack so doing a scan may be a good idea.

I have already done this several times with CCleaner and I've run AV checks and tried using an alternative browser. It's made no difference. No other site has any problems opening or re-directs me anywhere else. That said, it would seem that nobody else coming on VEF is having this problem.
Sorry, I'm just baffled by this.
