Lightbulb Particularly liked the washed out colouring as it made it all the more realistically grittier

Set during the 14th century bubonic plague era of England ,

This tale involves a young monk Osmunda who`s recruited by the battle hardened knight Ulric , to lead him and his group of soldiers through the marshes into a village of dire warnings. As they've heard rumors a necromancer is raising plague victims from the dead. To do his naughty bidding . Plus that those of the village still alive have become different to human. Osmund agrees not out of a sense of duty. But because he seeks to find a woman that means more to him than even his monkly (Hey, it could be a real word ) vows.

What I enjoyed most about this was that within a scant half hour you`re (Well I was ) actually emotionally invested in everything befalling Ulric and his lads. Granted I`m no fan of Eddie Redmayne (Osmund) so couldn't help being nonplussed about him. Yet that bugger aside. Sean (The Sharpe) Bean leads an excellent cast.

Without a doubt let me give this a triple
