Were they not known as "rogue" playmates? I remember there was a newsgroup I used to frequent, had "jph" in the title I think, that was quite good for getting some rather more revealing pics of playmates.
Continuing this "off-piste" tack -
Kristi Cline did some revealing pics before her appearance as a playmate.
Another playmate subsequently did a Hustler centrefold shoot - can't remember her name at the minute. Just remembered -
