Several of the directors listed in this thread actually have a reputation as "serious" filmmakers, such as the above mentioned Rolf Thiele who got fine reviews for "Das Mädchen Rosemarie" (1956). Or should I rather say had, in his case, for his talent seems to have degenerated to sexploitation flicks.
