I didn't say it wasn't different . Although the two airline pilots I know have both told me that simulators are incredibly realistic in terms of the flight characteristics of a given plane and situation

My point is that all airline pilots constantly train for just such events as decompression and engine failure so there was nothing particularly "heroic" about the performance of this particular pilot .
