I know from experience with different browsers and sites even disabling
wont work on some of them as they want them removed totally
For most browsers you look for tools / options
IE

Theres also the settings in the PCs internet which includes pop-up blocking
usually found under control panel / internet / privacy / pop-up blocker
If you are going to disable the ad-blocker make sure everything on your PC is up to date
It only happens occasionally but malvertising (malware in ads) will have a field day if you have out of date or insecure software / plugins on it
- security suites arent always bullet proof
How to check your software is up to date
