I've always thought the willowy
Sondra Locke was underrated as an actress, perhaps overshadowed by her famous ex-partner
Clint Eastwood & their messy break-up.
Compare the almost mute, ethereal Laura Lee from
The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) to the rough hewed prostitute Gus Mally from
The Gauntlet (1977) or the bored rich girl Antoinette Lily in
Bronco Billy (1980). All very different performances.
