Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder and terms mean different things to different people. For me a pretty woman can also be cute while a beautiful woman has an elegance that can include gorgeous.
I think the that pretty, beautiful, cute, gorgeous and a myriad of other descriptions all overlap to a degree. That degree could be said to be on a sliding scale based on any individuals opinion.
