The
Gospel of Mark 6:3 and the
Gospel of Matthew 13:55-56 state that James,
Joses (or Joseph),
Judas, and
Simon were the brothers of Jesus, the son of
Mary. The same verses also mention unnamed sisters of Jesus.
The Christian Church especially the Catholic Church has done it's best to disregard it as they like to maintain the myth that Mary remained a virgin and worthy of worship.
The Gospels are full of stuff that has been disproved by historical records like Mary and Joseph had to go to Bethlehem because of the Census.
Roman Censuses were carefully documented and never required any movement to place of birth. The Bethlehem myth was just to satisfy a requirement of an Old Testament Prophecy.
The Gospels were written as recruitment literature for a political religious cult they are not accurate historical records in any sense at all.
