I've had it happen to me before a year ago. When it happened it came up full screen where I could not close it or go anywhere on my computer. This one was just a webpage and I was able to quickly close it. Nothing has happened since then. No popups or homepage changes or anything. I'm currently doing a virus scan. After that I'm going to run Malwarebytes.

So everyone watch out for Imagebam.
Should be resolved for now, according to ImageBam's admin:

We work with multiple advertisers. A client's server was hacked and the advertisement was replaced with malicious advertisement. From what we know many other websites were affected as well - this was not an issue isolated to imagebam.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.
My conclusion: always use an addblocker for the image hosts, their advertising partners just cannot be trusted.
