I agree. The feature film Fantasm shows the sunspot in its early stages on the left side.
The Diverse loop Getting Off With Candy, which I think was filmed and released in 1979, shows Candy with a band-aid over the spot, so maybe this was the year she had it removed or had something done.
Although I have seen a pic of her with Holmes where there is a visible scar and no spot, that fragilefranky also pointed out, and she seems younger than this like maybe from 1977.
