VIOLENT gang members are being sent on a dream trip to the World Cup finals under a taxpayer-funded jaunt to turn them into “role models”.
Fury erupted after it emerged that nine tearaways are flying out to South Africa, where they will be handed tournament tickets and taken on tourist trips.
A Government-funded police initiative has paid £10,000 towards sending the Glasgow gang members – aged 16 to 21 – on the trip with Church of Scotland youth workers.

Now this is probably sensationalised a little, being as its the UK media, but surely I am not the only one to see that this is messed up. The money could have been used to send disabled kids, under privileged kids or others to see something they might not see ever again. Yet someone has the bright idea to send yobs to South Africa. They claim it will turn their lives around, more likely it will show the little tossers that crime does pay and that they don't actually need to alter their lifestyle.
