This movie is called Zombi 2, though there seems to be no Zombi 1. I guess I'm not missing much if I skip it anyway. Some say the title stems from the fact that Dawn of the Dead was screened as Zombi in Italy. Whatever, these movies are unrelated. Hell, even the various scenes in this one are unrelated.

Zombi 2 is the work of Italian gore legend Lucio Fulci. The story begins in New York when a fat zombie kills a police officer on a seemingly abandoned boat. The boat belongs to Anne Bowles' (Tisa Farrow) missing father who was conducting research on Matul, a Caribbean island. In her quest to find out what happened to her father, she meets Peter West (Ian McCulloch), a reporter who questions the official version of the story told by the police. Bowles and West hire a boat and set sail to Matul. Normally when people plan a long distance trip that should bring them to their destination as soon as possible, they take a plane but that's a different story.

Well, arriving on Matul, they encounter what the movie title suggests and fight for their lives in a number of hilarious scenes.
Ah "Zombi 2" - according to ye olde Wiki, upon its release in the United Kingdom on 2 January 1980, the British Board of Film Classification required a total of one minute and forty-six seconds of material to be cut in order to obtain an X rating.

The movie is controversial since it was originally listed as a "video nasty" in the UK for scenes like the following:
