ITV didn't go through a PC phase it was the pc brigade and The Sun that stabbed this country and Benny Hill in the back. Thames Television didn't even have the guts to get a top man to do it, they just called him in and told him his show was cancelled-not a word of thanks for all the awards and export money he made them-very shoddy and in my opinion they were a bunch of cowards. His unique brand of wit was even copied by the likes of Paul Hogan. No wonder Benny decided to end his life-it WAS his life, it was the only thing he knew. Lets not also forget the wonderful talents lost from that show as well-Bob Todd, Jackie Wright(bald headed chap), Henry McGee(his face was almost rubber at times the amount of expression it had) and of course Benny himself.

On a lighter note this is an extremely rare pic of Samantha Spencer-Lane and her fabulous legs. Sorry about the quality of it but its better than nothing. As scanned and not reduced.
