This time it is time to introduce you to a different great opera singer from the 1940's and early 1950's. He is the American baritone Leonard Warren. He was a huge man with a barrel chest. His voice had a great range and fullness. This aria is the Toreador song fron Georges Bizet's great opera Carmen. In this opera Warren plays a bullfighter and in this song he sings of what it is like to be a bullfighter. Sung in French.
