There have been many songs written about Hollywood greats like Bette Davis Eyes-Kim Carnes, Clint Eastwood(instrumental)-Gorillaz and Robert De Niro's Waiting-Bananarama, but the one song that actually had the star on it was Madness's 'Michael Caine' with Sir Michael saying his famous catchphrase "My name is..." (which was actually coined by Peter Sellers on his answerphone in an impersonation of him) Michael can be heard saying that as well "I, am Michael Caine" and at the end of the tape and record version can be heard "I think we got it there don't you?" Now not a lot of people now that.!
I neglected to include that David Frost was the instigator of TV-AM(formerly Good Morning Britain) the second national breakfast programme for this country in the 1908s. The BBC was the first with Breakfast Time but David Frost's programme made it's debut several weeks later. It was made up of five presenters: Himself, Anna Ford, Robert Key, Angela Rippon & Michael Parkinson. It didn't last very long being trounced in the ratings battle by the BBC - probably thanks to the informal setting and Frank Bough's cuddly jumpers!
