As mentioned in the Wiki link, that one was called "Blankety Blank" in the UK, and it ran for 17 series.

Personally, I always found it to be a bit too contrived, but as with a lot of these shows, my enjoyment usually depended on (i) the host, and (ii) the celebrities involved.

Taking the term "game show" in it's broadest sense, my favourite would be the radio panel-game "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" ... and believe me, it would take too long to explain it if you're not familiar with the show!

The most baffling game show ever was "3-2-1" ... for the simple reason that whoever wrote the clues must have been sniffing solvents! They were impossible to figure out! In fact, they were so vague that I'm convinced you could have the same clue for the top prize or the "booby prize" (a brand new dustbin)!
