Indigo appears to be a French company, obviously buying in private information from the DVLA, which I personally consider a massive breach of the data protection act. That aside, I believe that in this situation there is a deal between the parking company and Cardiff & Vale Health Board. If its like my local hospital, the parking company takes the larger share of the money.
So you have a bullyboy outfit like all the other parking companies and a hospital body who doesn't value its staff very highly. Allowing this to get to the county court is really not on and IMHO, any half decent judge, should exercise a degree of fair play and not support anything just because the law says it's written in stone and must be obeyed.
Oddly enough, I had it in the back of my mind that Wales had free parking at hospitals. Maybe it's only Scotland?
