Gordon Brown is no favourite of mine but I am not impressed by the fuss being made by The Sun over his incorrect spelling of the poor dead soldier's name. He did at least write to the guys' family personally in longhand, which is better than most of his predecessors did in similar circumstances. In my opinion The Sun is neither an honest nor an honourable contributor to public debate: they are spinning this story faster than the angle grinder they use to sharpen their axe with. They have a bit of a track record for not telling the story quite straight.
