Hi,
registered solely because of this excellent thread.

Anyone of you know about any classy burlesque/cabaret/striptease acts of French origin from the 1970's?

Especially, I'm looking for a specific clip I interpret as being made in Paris in 1979 and which I saw on TV when I was 9 years old. It involved a lady on a low chrome stool as she redressed from a leopard 'jungle' outfit into a glittery silver halterneck gown and jewelry, assisted by a 'behind the scenes' man in black dress suit and top hat.

It had that splendid 'disco feel' of the times and a sleazy, wah wah-heavy funk tune playing to it. Needless to say, it made quite an impression on my innocent nine-year old mind.

So the question is if you have seen anything like it or at least have a hunch were it may have originated. It could have been from one of the big shows of Paris, like the Lido or Crazy Horse or something, but I've always had the impression it was sort of an 'avant garde' sideshow kind of thing.

Any comments invited!
