Tops was a regular Rep Actress in Birmingham.
Always at the Rep... the more commercial Theatre being the Alexander, where "Supertstars" like 'Noelle Gordon' ~ local TV has-been in 'Paint Your Wagon' where she talked her songs and took endless curtain-calls.... I witnessed that and can't remove the memory.
In my juvenile years, I put Tops alongside Julie Christie and Barbara Windsor as the next Gen breakout Brit Stars. Babs, unfortunately, after being grounded and mentored by Joan Littlewood went with her 'BUST' for quick money in the Carry-On sagas.
Julie met Warren Beatty
Tops ... she just vanished.
