Does not do anything for me. I just noticed it as a recurring theme in pictorials, so I merely use this theme as a different way to classifying pictorials. I suppose If slaughtered chicken featured in many such pictorials I would have created a thread for that too (I'm not squeamish), but I have never seen such a pictorial.
Another macabre theme one could do is "vintage taxidermy", because the skins of tigers/leopards etc. feature in quite a few old pictorials, but beyond 1980 that theme almost completely vanished.
