Now, on a less obsessive note, there's Kristine DeBell.
Was I obsessed with her since childhood? Not exactly. In a way, however, she
was there for me at the moment I crossed over from childhood to adulthood.
I was 18 years old, at college and thus truly away from home for the first time. I had been watching my Dad's porn tapes pretty much since home video hit it big between 1976-78. Now, however, I had my first chance to buy some for myself.
One of the first titles I discovered was Alice in Wonderland.
The thing is, it wasn't hardcore. You see, in the late 80s the only VHS available of Alice in Wonderland was a softcore cut; there were only rumors that it had originally been filmed as an all-out porn film. I, however, did not know this yet. In fact, I didn't even know I had bought a softcore tape until I brought it back to the dorm and popped it into the VCR, playing it for all my friends in our floor's lounge.
Well, my friends were pissed. They had been promised hardcore, and they felt cheated. I, however, saw the bigger picture. Kristine DeBell was smoking hot! She was young and beautiful, and her character was all the more sexy because she was playing her as such a complete innocent (for those who haven't seen the film, and shame on you if you haven't, the whole plot revolves around Alice's sexual awakening and loss of virginity).
In all the porn I had seen before, the women acted like seductresses. The were really into the sex, and let it show in their faces, mannerisms, etc. I had never seen the "wide-eyed young girl" approach before. It freaking blew me away.
So, even though my friends never wanted the film to darken their doorsteps again, I kept that sucker in my collection, and watched it often when I was alone.
It was almost a decade later, in the mid-90s, when my perverted dreams came true, and the full hardcore version of Alice in Wonderland surfaced. It was almost everything I'd hoped for. True, there was very little actual hardcore contact or insertion from Kristine DeBell herself. What there was, though, was amazing.
She was amazing.
What's most amazing is that I didn't hurt myself, as I had never before come four times while watching a single movie. After Alice in Wonderland I needed a good nap, but it was totally worth it.
So, yeah, Kristine DeBell was there for me when I REALLY learned how powerful good porn could be. To this day I love every moment of her (sadly, one and only) hardcore feature, and treasure any nude photo of her that I find.
And DeBell's approach to porn, the "gee, mister, I don't know if I should" young girl routine, has stuck with me too. My favorite scenes, all too rare these days, are the ones in which a woman (obviously
