It's always made me chuckle when somebody chops through a steel-wired armoured cable, or a mains electrical board with an axe they've just happened to find.
Speaking as an ex-electrical engineer this is and always was dangerous in the extreme. In the (usually some dumb action movie) when the hero/villain does the chopping there's the obligatory firework display, but in the 'world' when you try that sort of thing; it goes off like a f*****g bomb and will blow your face, arms and legs clean off! Steel and molton copper are a bad combination.
