Continuing my quest to share more great nude work from behind the Iron Curtain, here is some nude work from Roger Rössing (1929-2006).
Roger was one of East Germany's most well known photographers specialising in photojournalism, portraits, commercial photography but also lucky for us also produced some fine nudes of East German girls in the late 1970's which are showcased here.
Roger studied from 1948 to 1951 under Johannes Widmann at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig where he met his future wife, Renate and also another star of German nude photography Günter Rössler.
Roger and Renate worked together for the rest of their lives producing over 100 photography books and manuals selling 3million + copies in 11 languages and shooting thousands of fine images of Germany in the post war recovery period.
